Buffy

Now that her relationship with Xander is out in the open, Cordelia finds herself the object of ridicule from her friends, especially Harmony. Meanwhile, Giles has been researching into Angelus’ past, and warns Buffy that he has a long history of committing terrible acts on Valentine’s Day. When she returns home, Buffy finds a box of roses waiting for her, together with a card inscribed with one word: 'Soon'. Later, at ‘The Bronze’, Xander gives Cordelia his Valentine’s Day gift - a beautiful silver heart. But after admiring the necklace, Cordelia breaks up with him; Xander is angry and heartbroken, and at school the next day things get even worse, as everyone seems to know about the break-up, and Cordelia has gone back to her old circle of snobby friends. However, when Xander witnesses Amy Madison using witchcraft to dupe a teacher into thinking she has handed her homework in, he threatens to expose her unless she performs a spell for him; Amy agrees to cast a spell intended to make Cordelia fall back in love with Xander, so that he can then have the satisfaction of dumping her. However, the spell goes wrong, and instead of Cordelia, every other female in Sunnydale - including Buffy, Willow, Amy and even Ms Calendar - falls madly in love with him. Things soon get out of control, and the love-struck girls break into a fight over Xander, causing Amy to turn Buffy into a rat. While Xander tries to hide from his adoring admirers, Giles and Amy begin to work together in an attempt to break the spell. It seems that only Cordelia is immune from the effects of the magic, and when she is later seen with Xander, the two of them become the objects of a mob-hunt from all the other women. The both seek refuge in Buffy's house, but even Joyce Summers wants to be with Xander. Angelus tries to capture Xander, intending to leave his dead body as a Valentine’s present for Buffy, but an infatuated Drusilla will not allow him kill Xander. Back at Buffy’s house, Cordelia and Xander hide in the basement, and are about to be attacked by a frenzied mob of fully armed women when Giles and Amy break the spell; normality is restored, and Buffy is returned to her proper self. The next day, Willow refuses to speak to Xander; Cordelia stands up for him when Harmony attempts to mock him, and the two lovers get back together.
