Buffy

Buffy, Anya and Xander race through the woods, hoping to get to the police station before the enraged Willow. Anya has had her teleporting powers returned to her, so she teleports on ahead of the others. Reaching his car, Xander and Buffy discover that Willow has smashed up the vehicle to prevent them from following her. Buffy runs off at Slayer speed, while Xander does his best to catch up, but his lack of any special powers leaves him frustrated. In their cell at the police station, Jonathan and Andrew argue over whether Warren will come and rescue them; Anya teleports in and tells then what Willow has done. The furious witch arrives and uses her magic to tear a hole in the wall of the cell. Buffy enters through a side door and is able to rescue the two boys before Willow can get to them; Anya tries to calm Willow down, but the witch sends her crashing into a wall and disappears again. Xander steals a police patrol car so that Buffy, Andrew and Jonathan can escape; they manage to get to the highway, but Willow is not far behind them, having taken charge of a huge eighteen-wheel truck. However, her constant use of magic is beginning to weaken her, and Xander manages to drive away. Meanwhile, Clem is trying to entertain Dawn, but the young girl is bored, and instead asks to go to a demon place. In Africa, Spike is made to go through a challenge, facing a giant warrior with flaming fists. Dawn manages to convince Clem to take her to Rack’s place, but Clem reminds her that even if Rack can find Willow for them, there will be nothing that they can do for her; however, Dawn is still determined to go. Buffy, Xander, Andrew, Jonathan and Anya arrive at the ‘Magic Box’, hoping to look for a magical way of stopping Willow, but the only book left is written in Sumerian, and Anya is unable to translate it. Jonathan comments that Willow will need to re-charge her magic, giving Buffy an idea. Willow shows up at Rack’s place; she grabs him and drains all the power out of him. When Dawn and Clem arrive there later, Dawn is shocked finds Rack’s lifeless body hanging upside-down from the ceiling. Willow has now re-charged her magic; Dawn tries to talk to her, and even mentions Tara in the hope that it will calm her down, but Willow threatens to turn the girl into a ball of energy to shut her up. Back at the ‘Magic Box’, Jonathan and Andrew get into a fight, but Xander breaks it up; Andrew thinks that Willow will probably come after her friends, and Anya agrees. Buffy arrives at Rack’s place just in time to saved Dawn, and then she too, attempts to talk to Willow. The witch replies that she was only worth something when Tara was with her, but now, without her, she has nothing to live for, also reminding Buffy that she does not want to be in the world either. Willow teleports herself, Buffy and Dawn to the ‘Magic Box’, where she turns her attention to Andrew and Jonathan. But her magic is repelled because Anya is hiding behind a wall, chanting a protection spell. In Africa, Spike kills the flame-fisted demon; he is satisfied with his actions, until the voice of the demon tells him that was only his first test. Willow turns her magic on herself and becomes even stronger, preparing to beat Andrew and Jonathan to death with her bare hands. Buffy steps in and engages Willow in a fight, giving Xander, Dawn, Jonathan and Andrew the chance to run away, while Anya stays behind to continue the protection spell. Buffy and Willow are almost evenly matched, but Willow gains the upper hand with the use of her magic. Meanwhile, Andrew and Jonathan take up swords in an attempt to protect themselves, Xander and Dawn, but Andrew then holds his sword to Xander’s neck and informs Jonathan that he wants to escape to Mexico; Jonathan turns on him, and, holding his own sword to Andrew’s neck, states that they are going to stay in Sunnydale and face the consequences of their crimes. Back at the ‘Magic Box’, Willow continues to beat up Buffy, and when she discovers Anya’s hiding place, her fury gains more focus. As Buffy and Anya lie unconscious, a force strikes from out of nowhere, sending Willow hurtling across the room. Rupert Giles steps into the ‘Magic Box’…
