The Doctor, Rory and Amy

Unable to sleep, Amy answers the ringing telephone in the TARDIS Console Room and finds herself speaking to a very angry Prince of Wales, demanding to know what has happened to his mother. As she swats at an annoying fly buzzing in her face, Amy tries to explain that the Doctor isn’t there; however, at that moment the Time Lord in question bursts into the ship, dressed in top hat and tails and clutching a goldfish in a bowl. Taking over the phone call and placating the prince, the Doctor also breathlessly explains to Amy that he has just been to a party with River Song, where a slight incident has led to the Queen being turned into a fish. Answering a second phone call, the Doctor informs an angry ambassador that he has turned their warrior king into a fly, and won’t restore them until the Queen is returned to normal; unfortunately, the Doctor’s cunning plan falls flat once he notices the fly that Amy just splatted with a roll of paper. As the Doctor races outside to join River, Amy tries to tell him the reason why she can’t sleep; but the Doctor is in too much of a hurry, and also recognises “that look” when he sees it, so he calls out to Rory to take his turn in talking to his wife. As Amy protests, the Doctor suddenly realises that he has taken the wrong fish – he now has just three hours to save the Commonwealth, before the pet shops open…
