An anomaly opens backstage at a theatre, and three time-travellers step through; one of their number, Charlotte, dies of a fatal illness, leaving the others, Emily and Ethan, to complete their mission. They are unaware that a vicious arboreal raptor has followed them through the portal… Elsewhere, Matt holds another secret meeting with Gideon; the old man is dying, and it is now up to Matt to complete the mission he has spent his whole life on. At the A.R.C., Jess detects the anomaly and mobilises the team; but as Abby and Becker race to the theatre Connor is stopped by Philip, who puts him to work on the new security system he has devised. Alerted by Jess, Matt arrives at the theatre and sees Emily jump through the anomaly; acting against orders Matt follows the mysterious woman into the past, arriving in a forest populated by the predatory ‘Tree-Creepers’. When Emily is injured by one of the creatures Matt comes to her rescue, taking her back to the present and admitting her to hospital. Learning that an A.R.C. soldier has been killed back at the theatre, Becker and Abby race to investigate, only to discover that there are two of the ferocious raptors on the loose. Meanwhile, Connor activates Philip’s security system: unfortunately, when the sensors detect Rex on the loose in Abby’s laboratory the system immediately invokes its emergency procedure, placing the A.R.C. in complete lockdown. The only person who can override the security controls is Philip – but he is locked in the lab with Rex, and their air is quickly running out…
